Reynalton House is a late 19th Century detached stone farmhouse tucked away in the heart of the quiet rural village of Reynalton, yet only 5 miles from the beautiful sandy beaches of Saundersfoot and Tenby. Set on the owners’ 17 acre smallholding with horses, ducks and chickens it has been renovated throughout and is comfortably furnished in a mix of period and contemporary pieces. The high ceilings and large windows make it light and airy; two warm and cosy lounges give space to relax and overlook the large, enclosed decking and lawned garden - ideal for dining alfresco and allowing the children to play. The galley style fitted kitchen leads to the spacious dining room with practical laminate floors and a woodburning stove. The spacious bedrooms above are a welcome retreat, while the ones to the rear offer stunning rural views over fields which stretch down to the stream and the woodland beyond. You are welcome to wander the fields, enjoy a picnic down by the ponds or join the footpath that leads over the small stone bridge and into Loveston Woods exploring some of the circular walks around this area. Charlie's Restaurant and Bar in the Croft Holiday Park on the edge of the village of Reynalton itself, is within a short walk so enjoy an evening or lunch time treat or home cooked Sunday lunch. There is also an indoor heated pool and Simply Balance Spa to enjoy within the park. In the next village of Jeffreyston only 1 mile away is a traditional pub also serving good food, while Yerbeston Farm Shop offers necessities, as well as locally sourced produce nearby. A short car journey takes you to the bustling village of Saundersfoot with its beautiful sandy beaches and varied pubs and restaurants, try your hand at the latest watersports on offer at the hire shop. A little further on lies the popular walled town of Tenby with its picturesque harbour and range of shops, restaurants and galleries lining its quaint cobbled streets. To the north is the historic market town of Narberth famous for its boutique shops, antique stores and delis - well worth a visit, while the family attractions of Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park and Blue Lagoon Water Park are handy. We would like to say what a lovely stay we had. The outdoor space at the house was just brilliant for our kids who loved running around and playing with all the brilliant outdoor games that were provided.
What a wonderful house, really enjoyed our stay, shame about the weather. Hope to see you all soon. 5 adults and 6 children enjoyed their stay.
Thank you for a brilliant stay in this wonderful house. We loved exploring the nearby villages in the day and spending the evening out in the sunny garden. Reynalton House is in a great location, making visiting local attractions very easy. So all in all, 8 adults, 1 toddler and 2 dogs had a very happy stay!
Have had a lovely week here, garden excellent for small children to share with grandparents. Asda delivery of groceries worked out to be a good idea of Nanna's! Indian takeaway a good idea of Mammy's! Bats in garden lovely to watch in the evening. Starry night, beautiful to look at from the decking. Lovely feel to the property and location. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
We had a wonderful week in Reynalton House, did a bit of rambling on the coastal path, played flag football in the garden and generally had a good time. Thumbs up for the parrot in the neighbourhood.
Enjoyed a wonderful week in scorching weather, allowing us to make the most of the beautiful garden and some lovely coastal walks (one near Manorbier was stunning). The house and its facilities were perfect - going to miss the view from the decking. Also love the oompa-loompa silhouette in the map when walking from the garden (you can't miss it once you know about it!)
What a wonderful house! We all very much enjoyed our stay, lovely and clean, great location, would definitely return again. Visited Tenby, St Davids - weather permitted but even so we all still had a great time. Charlie especially enjoyed the garden -lots of running space for him with wonderful views. We all enjoyed ourselves and celebrated a special birthday here - 80th Birthday! Comfy beds, great facilities, very peaceful surroundings. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. We didn't want to go home. Thank you for the wine on arrival too!
Had a fabulous week here, the house was very comfortable and gave us all plenty of space and everything we needed. Boys loved body boarding at Freshwater West - fantastic beach for 'boys'. Had superb hot day at Barafundle - Could have been on a greek island! Amazing beach. Our spaniel had a ball and all the beaches welcomed dogs which was great. Thanks for a lovely holiday.
Zeki - very nice that its so near beaches. If you want to play a game of table football, then this is the place for you! (6yrs old) Rafi - The cottage is very nice, the beach is very nice, the horses were pretty. (3yrs) Becca - We enjoyed the wood burning stove and the walks down by the woods Deniz - Two TV's helped CBBC/CBEEBIES conflict. Garden is child friendly and safe. Helen - Dining room perfect for long rambling chats. Koren - enjoyed the animals. Jeon - I liked climbing out of my cot Bernie - I'm going on an aeroplane. Ben - People in the next village generous with firelighting equipment
Lovely house, lots of space. Good facilities. The dogs enjoyed the walks down to the woods. The walks along the coast and the beaches are lovely. Although the weather wasn't great. We still had a wonderful and enjoyable holiday. Thank you very much. We were very glad of the internet connection thanks !!
Lovely holiday, weather not too bad. Memory trip for some of us which we truly enjoyed. Our accommodation was excellent, ages from 3 - 76 which suited everyone. Highly recommended
The cottage, garden and land was fantastic with room for all of us to do as we please and a fantastic base to travel from to all of the local attractions. The hospitality was great, the views perfect and really peaceful. Would recommend it to anybody and love to return as one week is not enough to see all of the attractions in the area (will definitely return). Oh and the weather was amazing.
Arrived and we were extremely delighted with the farmhouse, roomy, very comfortable and our needs were very well catered for. A well equipped kitchen gave us many alternatives. Unfortunately the weather was not in or favour but whenever the weather let up the children were straight into the garden where they were perfectly happy to spend an evening playing games. The older children and teens enjoyed bar football and card games and were soooo happy we had internet. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and will be back, thank you.
Had a fantastic holiday, the weather was fantastic! The house is lovely, and there was plenty of room for all 10 of us! We especially enjoyed seeing the horses in the field from our windows and all the horse paintings and statues are beatiful!
Weather was wonderful. We did beaches, castles, swimming, walking, fishing and coastering! Very good location and lovely spacious well equipped house.
A great house, great location, well equipped and spacious. Great view - don't want to go home!! Thank you!
We've all had a lovely week exploring local beaches, castles and woodlands. The weather hasn't hampered us too much and knowing we were returning to a cosy cottage and the wood burner has kept cold, wet children going! Lovely cottage with all the facilities we could wish for. Great garden. Great place to bring the dogs too, they've had a great time! Thank you!
We have had a fantastic week in your wonderful house. We've wondered along all the local beaches and enjoyed the sea, but have also loved coming back to this comfortable, cosy haven! It's such a lovely spot - so quiet and peaceful with a wonderful view! We have all had a fantastic time and the children are upset to be leaving, in particular, although none of us really want to return home! Thank you!
Well, what can I say, what a wonderful place, we have all had such an amazing time (including the 3 dogs!). House is beautiful, couldn't ask for more. Plenty of space, garden fantastic, house really comfortable. Neighbours really friendly, owners very welcoming, really enjoyed watching Emma jumping in the field on one of her ponies. We don't want to go home but will definitely be back!
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. We have had a wonderful time - it has been amazing. Very comfortable and lovely peace and quiet. Superb views and very friendly neighbourhood.
A fantasic base for our holiday. The house is beautiful - comfortable, well equipped and full of character. We didn't want to leave. Thank you!
