Reynalton House holiday property in Reynalton
Reynalton House is a late 19th Century detached stone farmhouse tucked away in the heart of the quiet rural village of Reynalton, yet only 5 miles from the beautiful sandy beaches of Saundersfoot and Tenby. Set on the owners’ 17 acre smallholding with horses, ducks and chickens it has been renovated throughout and is comfortably furnished in a mix of period and contemporary pieces. The high ceilings and large windows make it light and airy; two warm and cosy lounges give space to relax and overlook the large, enclosed decking and lawned garden - ideal for dining alfresco and allowing the children to play. The galley style fitted kitchen leads to the spacious dining room with practical laminate floors and a woodburning stove. The spacious bedrooms above are a welcome retreat, while the ones to the rear offer stunning rural views over fields which stretch down to the stream and the woodland beyond. You are welcome to wander the fields, enjoy a picnic down by the ponds or join the footpath that leads over the small stone bridge and into Loveston Woods exploring some of the circular walks around this area. Charlie's Restaurant and Bar in the Croft Holiday Park on the edge of the village of Reynalton itself, is within a short walk so enjoy an evening or lunch time treat or home cooked Sunday lunch. There is also an indoor heated pool and Simply Balance Spa to enjoy within the park. In the next village of Jeffreyston only 1 mile away is a traditional pub also serving good food, while Yerbeston Farm Shop offers necessities, as well as locally sourced produce nearby. A short car journey takes you to the bustling village of Saundersfoot with its beautiful sandy beaches and varied pubs and restaurants, try your hand at the latest watersports on offer at the hire shop. A little further on lies the popular walled town of Tenby with its picturesque harbour and range of shops, restaurants and galleries lining its quaint cobbled streets. To the north is the historic market town of Narberth famous for its boutique shops, antique stores and delis - well worth a visit, while the family attractions of Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park and Blue Lagoon Water Park are handy. Enjoyed a wonderful week in scorching weather, allowing us to make the most of the beautiful garden and some lovely coastal walks (one near Manorbier was stunning). The house and its facilities were perfect - going to miss the view from the decking. Also love the oompa-loompa silhouette in the map when walking from the garden (you can't miss it once you know about it!)
